PICKING FRUIT

Today we are at a private residence in West Los Angeles. Our advisor Alison Hersel received a call from the owner of the property who has lemon and loquat trees and wants to donate the fruit to Nourish LA. https://nourish.la

 

 

With our new teen ambassador Nathan, we started picking the fruit. The loquat tree was a challenge. The tree was tall, and we needed to sometimes shake the branches to pick the fruit. Nevertheless, it was a bountiful harvest, and we donated the lemons and the loquats to nourish la. Even with two teens, we were able to pick a lot of produce. Happy to know that we helped the property owner by not letting the fruit go to waste, and were able to offer the produce to people in need.
