FRUIT HARVEST

This event is just one sample of what I have been doing throughout the last 3 years, which is going to neighbors houses to pick the extra fruit on their trees and donating them to Nourish LA. This particular weekend I volunteered at the St Mark’s Church event organized with Nourish LA. It is always gratifying to see that we can help our community to receive free healthy food. As a high school athlete and someone interested in health, medicine and finance, I know that it is a challenge for many to have access to fresh healthy food, therefore, I’ve been a supporter of Nourish LA since its inception during the pandemic. Each time, I also convince my classmates to join me in this effort. At the end of the day, we all benefit from the knowledge and experience we gain.
